Zanna Maxine Bean, 91, of Augusta, WV passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at E.A. Hawse Health Center, Baker, WV.

Born on January 30, 1933 in Kirby, WV, she was the daughter of the late Roy Walter Jackson Haines and Mary Beulah Catherine (Saville) Haines.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray M. Bean and her siblings, Orpha Hott, Dorothea Kilmer, Chris Bean, Janice McDonald, Lula Pyles, Hilda Haines, Bill Haines, Roy Haines, Paul Haines and Byron Haines.

She was the loving mother of Jeff Bean (Debby) of Augusta, WV, Cliff Bean of Westminster, MD, Edward Bean of Augusta, WV, Barbara Zirk of Moorefield, WV, Mitchell Bean (Debbie) of Augusta, WV, Jennifer Bean of Augusta, WV, Lana Bean of Augusta, WV, sister of Una Lupton (Wayne) of Kirby, WV and proud grandmother to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Zanna was a hard worker who spent her life raising her children and farming. She was a member of the Modern Woodmen and Christ Community Church, Augusta, WV.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Dale Cemetery, Augusta, WV with Pastor Denzil Davis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hampshire County Committee on Aging Home Delivered Meals Program (Checks to HCCOA), PO Box 41, Romney WV 26757.
