Willis Loyd Bohrer, 80, of Paw Paw, WV passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026 at his residence.
Born on January 3, 1946 on Spring Gap Mt., WV, he was the son of the late Leonard Bohrer and Dorothy (Rannells) Bohrer.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Anna Catherine Haines, Mary Alice Bohrer, Lewis W. Bohrer, Marvin L. Bohrer and Carl V. Bohrer and a great-grandson, Ethan Lane Sowers.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo (Baker) Bohrer, his sons, Philip Bohrer (Becky) and Jeff Bohrer (Sandy), both of Shanks, WV, his grandchildren, Nathan Bohrer (Danielle), Kyle Bohrer (Brandi), Paige McNeely (Tanner), Madison Bohrer (Logan), Sarah Pierce (Josh), Olivia Bohrer, Cindy Sowers, Brittany Moreland, and great-grandchildren: Wesson, Wyatt, Raylinn, Lylah, Brayden, Emerson, Jackson, Justin and Jett. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Evelyn Kidwell (Gary) and Bonnie Stotler (Wayne) of Slanesville, WV and sister-in-laws, Karen Nelson, Donna Bohrer and Mary Ann Bohrer.
Willis was employed at Consolidated Orchard in Paw Paw, WV for 17 years, worked for Hampshire Co. Transportation as a bus driver for 24 years and owned and operated Bohrer’s Farm Market and Greenhouse along with his wife, Betty Jo.
He was a loving husband, dad, granddad, and great-granddad. A lifelong member of Capon Chapel Covenant Brethren Church, he served as trustee, deacon, usher and handyman. Anytime anything needed done, he was right there to do it. Willis will be remembered as someone who was always willing to help anyone and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at Hope Christian Church, Augusta, WV on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. with Dave Bradfield and Brian Bohrer officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Slanesville, WV.
The family will receive friends on Friday, 5-8pm, at Hope Christian Church and from 10am until time of service on Saturday.
