Vernon Richard "Ricky" Davis, Jr., 42, of Petersburg, WV passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2025 at Mt. Storm, WV in a truck accident.

Born on December 8, 1982 in Winchester, VA, he was the son of Vernon Richard Davis, Sr. of New Market, VA and Mildred Wolford of Romney, WV.

Along with his parents and step-mother, Lisa Davis, he is survived by his wife, Francesca (Crawford) Davis, his children, Ricky Moreland of Morgantown, WV, Brandon Davis of Kinston, NC, Alexius Davis, Carson Davis and Lane Davis, all of Petersburg, WV and his brothers, Shane Blevins of Augusta, WV and Jason Davis of Moorefield, WV.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Pastor Denzil Davis and Tim Miller officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior.  Interment will be in Tearcoat Cemetery, Augusta, WV.

Trucks were Ricky's passion and he loved to shine them up. He was a hardworking, dedicated husband and father and his children and wife were the most important thing in his life.  He loved his community and friends and would do anything to help anyone out. He will be missed by all who knew him.
