Theodore "Ted" A. Funkhouser, 76, of Baker, WV passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at his residence.

Born on March 15, 1947 in Baker, WV he was the son of the late Carl R. Funkhouser and Una E. (Wilson) Funkhouser.

Ted enjoyed hunting, trapping, auctions and making stops at Pack's for icecream. He was a proud Pappy and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Baker United Methodist Church.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Earl Funkhouser and Richard "Bill" Funkhouser.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth L. (Dolly) Funkhouser, a son, Jeff Funkhouser (Rebecca) of Mathias, WV, siblings, Chester Funkhouser (Barbara) of Baker, WV, Roger Funkhouser (Brenda) of Baker, WV, Janet Wilkins of Baker, WV, and Donna Smith (Gary) of Stephens City, VA, and 2 grandchildren, Jonah and Jenna Funkhouser.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Baker, WV with Roger Sager officiating.  Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Baker, WV. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, 5-7pm, at the funeral home.
