Teresa E. Dishong Haines, 60, of Augusta WV passed away Friday, September 10 th 2021 at Berkeley Springs Health & Rehab, Berkeley Springs, WV after 8 months of declining health.
She was born on January 26, 1961 in Canton, Oh to the late John H. Dishong and Emma L. Sheaks Dishong Marinin.
She attended Timken High School and was a graduate of National Beauty College, where she pursued her love of hair and nails, and became a licensed cosmetologist. In 1990, she went to school for her CDL to become a 3 rd generation truck driver. She enjoyed the freedom of the open road and seeing new places.
She loved to visit family and friends, and always wanted copies of all their pictures.
After moving to West Virginia in 1993, if she couldn't be with you in person, there were phone calls while drinking her ever present cup of coffee.
She was always trying to help people who were having a hard time, giving them a place to stay while they got back on their feet.
She loved country music, her favorites were: If I Die Young, Coat of Many Colors, and Daddy's Hands.
She enjoyed house plants, flowers, and always had a vegetable garden with plenty of it to keep her busy canning.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Dishong.
She is survived by her husband Wilbur "Buddy" Haines, daughter Tessa (Mike) Doherty of Winchester, VA, a son Tim (Ro) Seery of Massillon, OH, step-daughters Jennifer (Jeff) Malcolm of Points, WV and Jamie Voit of Augusta, WV, step-son Thomas Lannon of Slanesville, WV, brothers John (Janey) Dishong of Hayes, WV, Andrew McCray, Shannon Dishong and Scott Dishong, all of Canton, Oh, sisters Darlene (Chris) Seery of Canton, OH, Michelle White of Orange Park, FL, grandsons Elijah Doherty, Landon Seery, Devyn Haines, and Blaize Voit, granddaughters Mikayla Doherty, Laila and Lauren Seery, Alyssa Malcolm, Kendall and Kennedy Voit.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at the McKee Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11-12 at the funeral home.
All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
