Shirley May Lease, 82, of Augusta, WV passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at her home.

Born on February 23, 1942 in Cumberland, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Evers G. George and Mary Edna (Lambert) George Smith.

Shirley was a homemaker and loved to go camping.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill R. Lease, daughters, Lisa and Tammy Lease, and siblings, Edward "Bud" George, Bob George, Johnny George, and Ginger George Phillips.

Surviving are her two sons, Billy and Debbie Lease and Ronnie and Cindy Lease, both of Augusta, three daughters, Shirley and Randy Matthews of Augusta, Brenda Lease and Judy and Chuck Martin of Martinsburg, WV, as well as 21 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Gene George of Springfield, WV, Ray and Liddyann George, David and Laura George of Cumberland, MD, Mary Kidwell of Rawlings, MD, Judy Plummer and Ted of Cumberland, MD.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Pastor Larry Barnes officiating.  Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV.  The family will receive friends on Friday, 7-9 pm, at the funeral home.
