Rumsey William Self, 92, of Augusta WV passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024 at his residence.

Born on February 16, 1932 in Delray, WV, he was the son of the late William H. Self and Laura M. (Judy) Self.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Janet L. (Bailey) Self, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 2 infant sisters and an infant brother.

He is survived by his sister, Norma E. Shank of Waynesboro, PA and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Rumsey served 10 years in the U.S. Army and operated a tank in the Korean War.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Points, WV with military rites accorded by the US Army.  The family will receive friends on Monday, 6-8pm, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
