Roy Vernon Combs, 81, of Bunker Hill, WV passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at his residence.

Born on November 27, 1944 in Petersburg, WV, he was the son of the late William Combs and Orlena (Wilson) Combs.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Susan D. (Ruckman) Combs, his children, Lena Snyder of Winchester, VA, Roy “Pete” Combs of Inwood, WV, and Lora Roberts of Clearbrook, VA, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Roy enjoyed hunting and riding 4-wheelers. His greatest joy in life was his family and his role as a proud Pappy to his beloved grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Pastor Scott Orndorff officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until time of service.
