Roxie Ann Scruggs, 68, of Capon Bridge, WV passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Hampshire Memorial Long Term Care, Romney, WV.

Born on June 2, 1956 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Tilden Hunt, Sr. and Nellie (Barker) Hunt.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James M. Scruggs, two sons, Mike Scruggs and Dean Scruggs, and her siblings, Ertha Crockett, Kenneth Morrison, and Tilden Hunt, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Scruggs of Capon Bridge, WV, grandsons, Michael Scruggs and Dalton Scruggs, of Baltimore, MD, a sister, Ritha Shaw of Baltimore, MD and a brother, Willard Hunt of Winchester, VA.

Roxie enjoyed listening to music, the beach, traveling to Nashville, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandsons.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Pastor Denzil Davis officiating.  Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until time of service.
