Roger "Bub" Davis, Jr., 61, of Slanesville, WV earned his wings on Friday, September 20, 2024 at home surrounded by loved ones.

Born on September 7, 1963 in Virginia, he was the son of the late Roger C. and Linda Davis.  Roger met the love of his life Kimberly, and they enjoyed 39 years of marriage. A severe timber accident left Roger paralyzed on March 31, 1994. Roger never stopped fighting and continued to defy expectations from therapists and medical professionals alike.

For 30 years he continued to stay independent, help maintain his beloved Ford vehicles, hunt, fish, be a gun/knife enthusiast, work to raise two boys and reminisce on his early days of hot rodding. Of those stories, the most enjoyable ones were of him in his pride and joy, a Rangoon Red 65 Mercury Comet Cyclone. He never met a stranger, wouldn't let the bad days win and always looked out for others until the end.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Davis and brother-in-law, Carol Lewis.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Davis; his children Anthony Davis and Nathan (Kelly) Davis; his siblings, Bob (Vicki) Davis, Terry (Nancy) Davis, Rick (Lisa) Davis, Larry (Carol) Davis, Jerry (Margo) Davis, Virginia Lewis, Linda Davis, Danny ( Jacqueline ) Davis, Carolyn Arnold, Tammy Davis, RC Davis, Jeffery Davis, Charlie Davis; his grandkids, Aaron (Jessica) Dadisman and great grandkids, Makaylee Dadisman, Ryleigh Garrett and Lucas Dadisman.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Pastor Denzil Davis officiating.  Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, 6-8pm at the funeral home.
