Richard Gamble Kesner, 91, of Romney, WV passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

Born on November 21, 1933 in McNeil, WV, he was the son of the late Casper Kesner and Irene (Combs) Kesner.

Richard served in the US Army.  He had been employed by Kinney Shoe, Romney, WV. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his yard. He was a member of Romney Assembly of God Church.

Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Wolfe) Kesner, his siblings, Charles Robert, Chester Eugene, Albert Brooks, Elburn Leroy, Russell, Virgil, Ernest, Casper, George "Peachie" and Elizabeth Whitacre.

He is survived by his sons, Rick Kesner, Randall Kesner, and Tim Kesner, all of Romney, WV and his siblings, Dorothy Pratt of Romney, WV, Johnny Blaine Kesner (Laurine) of Winchester, VA, Patricia Riggleman (Roger) of Maysville, WV, Steve Kesner (Carolyn) of Augusta, WV, and Don Kesner (Myra) of Shanks, WV. He was a beloved "Pap" of 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Christ Community Church, Augusta WV with Pastor Don Kesner and Rev. James Mou officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 until time of service. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV.

All services will be handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
