Philip C Buckler, Jr., 88, of Slanesville, WV passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024.

Born July 9, 1935 in Calvert County Maryland, he was the son of the late Philip C Buckler, Sr and Joyce Buckler.

Philip is survived by his children, Brian Philip Bucker and wife Kathy, Susan M Butler and husband Bradley, Shari M. Buckler and husband Jim, and Carol J. Carper; grandchildren Brandi Bohrer (Kyle), Courtney Buckler, Jessi Mayfield (Grant), Philip Butler (Amber), Kyle Butler (Melissa), Emily Jones (Tim), Lillian Velez, Hannah Bayer, Ethan Penwell, Eston Penwell, and William Carper. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; Lylah, Brayden, Landon, Kennedy, Grayson, Isla, Christian, Olivia, and Caleb.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Maurice Buckler and George Buckler. He is survived by a brother Robert Buckler and a sister Jeanie Levine as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

He was an esteemed and long time builder in Berkeley and Hampshire Counties, WV. He valued honesty, hard work, as well as serving and helping others. He cherished his family and was a support and strength to them. His strong work ethic, honesty, and diligence were an example for all.

Philip was a strong Christian and attended various churches throughout his life. He felt strongly about living out his faith in his daily life.

Family will receive friends on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Hope Christian Church, Augusta, WV from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Hope Christian Church with Pastor David Bradfield officiating.   Burial will be private at Old Mt. Union (Kidwell) Cemetery, Paw Paw, WV.

Memorial contributions may be sent in lieu of flowers to the Hampshire County Animal Shelter, 155 Kerr Dr, Augusta, WV 26704.
