Myla Kay Davis, the beloved matriarch of a sprawling and devoted family, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, surrounded by family and her beloved dog Macy, leaving behind a legacy defined by her infectious laugh, her competitive spirit, and the warmth of her kitchen.

Born in Oceanside, California, on July 7, 1957 to Marilyn Turner (Rappuhn) and William 'Bill' Irelan, Myla was the eldest of six siblings and a natural leader from the start.  She graduated from Brandon High School in Ortonville, MI in 1975 before setting off for Texas in 1977. It was there, while working at the Pepsi-Cola plant, that she met Mike Davis, a young man in the Army who would become the love of her life. They were married on October 29th, 1977, beginning a 48-year journey that took them from Maryland to Michigan and finally to Delray, West Virginia, where they settled in 2012 to enjoy their retirement years together.

Myla lived life with a "strike-ready" energy. For many years in Mayville, Michigan, she was a fixture on the local bowling leagues alongside her mother and friends. A powerhouse on the lanes, she achieved the rare feat of bowling a perfect 300 game approximately 4 times. When she wasn't at the bowling alley, Myla loved traveling, baking, the energy of a live concert, she loved Elvis, Tweety Bird, her family and unicorns.

Above all, Myla was the "Nana" to a small army. As a mother of 4, Nana to 16 and Great-Nana to 13, she ensured no one ever left her home hungry. Her legacies are edible-passed down through her famous potato soup, homemade sloppy joes, Christmas goodies and those cherished pumpkin chip cookies that will continue to be made in her honor for generations. Family get togethers will never be the same.

Myla is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Owen Davis of Delray, WV, her brother, William Floyd Irelan, II(Trisha) of Oceanside CA; and her four children: Tanya Spencer of Delray, WV; Amber Langford (Brent) of Grand Blanc, MI, Michael Davis II (Beverly) of Delray, WV, and Mary-Kay Davis of Caro, MI. She also leaves behind her special sister, Renee Turner; Keith, Kim, and Kenny; Lesia Simmons (Davis) &(Mike),Jane Irelan, Greg Wolf, Bonita Williams, Joe (Deb) Davis, Andy (Becky) Davis, Eddie (Debbie) Davis, Doug (Barb) Davis, and a "slew" of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends , who will forever miss her smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marilyn (Turner), William Irelan, step- parents, Walter Turner, Barbara, and Fran Irelan; her brothers, Erik Turner, Patrick (Ricky) Irelan, and Thomas Irelan; and her "best sister ever," Teresa Wolf; sister-in-law, Jeanie (Sis), father-in-law, Howard Davis and mother-in-law, Mary Sue Davis (Beckman).

All services will be private and handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
