Merriman H. Barnes, III, 72, of Woodbridge, VA passed away on Tuesday June 22, 2021 at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA.

Born on August 15, 1948 in Bethesda, MD, he was the son of the late Mac H. Barnes Jr. and Margaret D. Autorback Barnes.

Merriman work as an exhibit specialist for the Dept. of Veterans Administration. He was a Vietnam veteran.

Surviving is his wife, Linda K. (Slater) Barnes, two children, Taye L. Karow (Jeff) of Emporia, VA, Matthew H. Barnes of Manassas, VA and three grandchildren, Andrew J. Baumgarten, Brooke A. Baumgarten, and Emma L. Karow.

All services will be private and being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
