Mary Virginia Reynolds Shumaker, 97, of Baker, WV passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the home of her daughter Nancy in Harrisonburg, VA.

Born on September 19, 1925 in Lost City, WV, she was the daughter of the late Homer W. Barb and Lena (Dellinger) Barb.

Mary was a member of Moorefield Church of God.  She enjoyed her flower gardens and baking and her family was her greatest joy in life.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas R. Reynolds, her second husband, Raymond Shumaker, a daughter, Violet E. Reynolds, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by her children, Lena Helsley, Linda K. Coontz, Thomas W. Reynolds, Welton Lee Reynolds, Kathy White, all of Baker, WV, Nancy Motsinger, Kenneth E. Reynolds, both of Harrisonburg, VA, a brother, Amos Barb of Fulks Run, VA, a sister, Edna Wilkins of Harrisonburg, VA, 18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Moorefield Church of God, 217 Elm St., Moorefield, WV with Pastor Doug Bowers officiating.  Interment will be in Baker Run Christian Church Cemetery, Baker, WV.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, 6-8 pm, at McKee Funeral Home, Baker, WV.
