Mary Eleanor Dawson, 94, of Romney, WV passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at E.A. Hawse Health Care, Baker, WV.

Born on February 24, 1932 in Winchester, VA, she was the daughter of the late Holly A. Ullery and Frances (Sowers) Ullery.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. Dawson, an infant daughter, Ruby Jean, and her siblings, Ruth Thompson, Wendell, Marvin, Junior, Frick, Curtis, John and Russell Ullery.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Belinda Allen of Augusta, WV, son, Thomas M. “Mitch” Dawson of Augusta, WV, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Mary enjoyed being outdoors, working in her yard and mowing the grass. She loved a good game of Bingo and watching the Price is Right.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Denzil Davis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV.
