Mae Virginia Nazelrod, 69 of Romney, WV passed away unexpectedly at Winchester Medical Center on Monday, August 31, 2026.

Born on March 8, 1957 in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Blair Lewis and Bertha R. (Cline) Lewis.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Raymond J. Nazelrod, on just one day before their 47th wedding anniversary, her Uncle Eugene Lewis and a sister Alex Jane Haines and partner Bobby of Romney, WV. She also leaves behind her children, Matthew A. Nazelrod Sr. and co-parent/ friend Elaine of Romney, WV, James R. Nazelrod Sr. and wife Carol of Augusta, WV, John F. Nazelrod and wife Amanda of Romney, WV, her beloved grandchildren Matthew Jr., Virginia, Allen, James Jr., Ryker, Beckett and Dakotah and nephews, Carl Lewis and Robert Haines.

She was loved by so many more and will be dearly and deeply missed by many. Some of her greatest joys in life were her family, playing bingo with friends and of course listening to The King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Branch Mt. Baptist Cemetery, Three Churches, WV with Pastor Denzil Davis officiating.

All arrangements are under the care of McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
