Obituary

Lowell Delano Hogbin, 78, of Martinsburg, WV passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Hospice of the Panhandle, Kearneysville, WV.

Born on October 31, 1946 in Romney, WV, he was the son of the late Harley Hogbin and Virginia (Miller) Hogbin.

Lowell was a graduate of Romney High, Class of 1964 and served in the U.S. Army.  He was a retired lineman for the telephone company.  Lowell was known as everyone's POPS and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and cheering on his beloved Washington Redkins and WVU Mountaineers.  His biggest joy in life was his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. His family and friends will fondly remember him for his sense of humor, his joyful spirit and for the love of his country.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joan (Eye) Hogbin in 2013 and his brothers, Eugene and Leroy.

He is survived by his children, Becky Nepivoda (Mark) of Charlottesville, VA, Cindy Barb (Jeff) of Marshall, VA, Shannon Rutter (Tony) of Marshall, VA, Dusty Hogbin (Kim) of Martinsburg, WV, and Brian Hogbin (Missy) of Ranson, WV, his brothers, Dailey "Doc" Hogbin of Augusta, WV and Lee Hogbin (Elaine) of Hagerstown, MD, grandchildren,  Kaysey Febus (Tyler) of Bunker Hill, WV; Briana Roberts (Hunter) of Moorefield, WV; Samantha Bateman (Wesley) of Inwood, WV; Madison Baldwin (Hayden) of Moorefield, WV and Sean, Chelsea, Patrick, Emilie, Katie and Makayla. He also had 14 great-grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed by Kaiden (Bucko), Alana, Kameryn, Waylon and Johnathan.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Pastor Denzil Davis officiating.  Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV.  The family will receive friends from 12pm until time of service.

All arrangements are handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
