Born on September 30, 1931 in Canebreak, McDowell County, WV, he was the son of the late Hurshell B. Daniels and Evelyn Naomi Keaton.
Lowell graduated from Garden Senior High School, Oakwood, VA, Class of 1948, and enjoyed attending reunions when he was able. In later years, he started his own roofing company with a partner. He later formed his own smaller company, capitalizing on his roofing knowledge. He and Maggie retired to Rio, WV where he took up wood working and continued to work on and repair fully mechanical clocks. He even combined his two interests and built a working clock with wooden gears and parts.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie, in 2003, brother, Ira "Buddy", sister, Chrystel, and a twin brother and sister who died in infancy.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian (Tharp) Daniels, whom he married in 2005, a son, Louis A. Daniels (Gayle) of Manassas, VA, a daughter, Charlotte Hamilton (Clinton) of Warrenton, VA, two granddaughters, Melanie Hamilton of Bealton, VA, Stephanie Hamilton (Craig) of Wasilla, AK, a great-grandson, Christian Hamilton-Hyler, and brothers, Colin S.
