Lillian P. Tharp Daniels, 98, of Rio, WV passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at E.A. Hawse Healthcare Center, Baker, WV.

Born on August 24, 1927 in Rio, WV, she was the daughter of the late Russell Funkhouser and Angeline (Gochenour) Funkhouser.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edsel Tharp, her second husband, Lowell Daniels, a daughter, Dinah L. Rinard and her siblings, Clarence, Raymond, Maynard "Cub" Funkhouser, Florence Miller, Mary Smith and Fannie Mae Funkhouser.

She is survived by her children, Sherwin Tharp (Joyce) of Baker, WV and Sandra P. Jenkins (Warren) of Rio, WV and two step-children, Louis A. Daniels and Charlotte Hamilton, 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She had been a volunteer at E.A. Hawse Nursing home.

A private graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Zion Cemetery, Baker, WV with Sherwin Tharp and Gary Koontz officiating.

All arrangements were handled by McKee Funeral Home, Baker, WV.
