Kathy Elaine Shell, 60, of Baker, WV passed away suddenly on Tuesday February 4, 2020 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

Born on July 9, 1959 in Petersburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Porter and Kathren Sherman Porter.

Kathy worked as a morning show announcer at W.E.L. D. radio where you could always here her cheerful good morning greeting.  She was a former employee of the Moorefield Walmart where she worked in the photo lab.  She was a homemaker, loving wife mother and grandmother.  She was known as the "tire lady' because of her ability and skill at removing and changing the tires on her vehicle.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-son, Justin A. Shell.

Surviving is her husband, James A. Shell, two daughters, Audra Rohrbaugh of Maysville, WV, Mary Rohrbaugh of Baker, WV, a son, Solomon Rohrbaugh, Sr. of Maysville, WV, a step-son, Jason A. Shell of Hinton, VA, brothers, Mac Porter of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Dennis Kuhn of Oakland, MD, a sister, Sharon Hutchinson of New Port News, VA, six grandchildren: Solomon Rohrbaugh, Jr., Klara M. Lambert, Carson M. Lambert, Jacob W. Rohrbaugh, Dylan Shell and Leah Shell, and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 8, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Baker, WV with Pastor Sherwin Tharp and Pastor Deborah Shreve officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
