Joyce Ann Pugh, 90, formerly of Hampshire Co., WV, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the home of her daughter in Harbinger, NC.

Born on October 18, 1934 in Bowling Green, VA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Smithers and Beulah (Rucker) Smithers.

Joyce is survived by her children, Carol Fulton (Steve) of Harbinger, NC, Pam Maines (Richard) of Poquoson, VA and Charlie Pugh, Jr. (Cathy) of Romney, WV, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Pugh, a daughter, Valerie Abel and one grandchild.

Joyce loved music, playing the piano by ear and singing in the church choir. Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Tearcoat Church of the Brethren with Pastor Tom Rowan officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Tearcoat Cemetery, Augusta, WV.
