Johnny Edward Mongold, 67, of Petersburg, WV passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

Born on June 12, 1954 in Petersburg, WV, he was the son of the late Simon D. Mongold and B. Frances Hoke Mongold.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and collecting antiques.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Rogers Mongold, and a brother, Butch Mongold.

He is survived by a daughter, Stacie Marie Moyers of Petersburg, WV, a son, John Thomas Mongold of Baker, WV, step-children, William J. Bennett of Baker, WV, Robert Lee Bennett of Riverton, WV, Gina J. Burnner of Manassas, VA, Valeria R. Bennett of Riverton, WV, Jeffery J. Bennett of NY, Lisa Marie Bennett of Cherry Grove, WV, sisters, Saundra S. Dawson of Stephens City, VA, Susan Combs of Bunker Hill, WV and 3 grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Rock Oak Cemetery, Baker, WV with Pastor Burl Charlton officiating.

All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
