Jerry Odell Timbrook, 78, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024.

Born on July 2, 1945, he was the son of the late Clarence K Timbrook & Lola Gray Timbrook.

Jerry grew up loving the farm life in Augusta, WV. He graduated from Romney High School in 1963, from Eastern Christian College and Lincoln Christian College and did graduate work at Cincinnati Bible College. He held ministries in Ringgold, Maryland, West Salem, Illinois, in addition to establishing new churches in Great Mills, Maryland, Manassas, Virginia and Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.  He served 49 years in Christian Youth Camp work and worked with many other Christian organizations.  In recent years, he was a member of the Allegiance Quartet, a gospel singing group.

Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, building many lasting memories. Jerry was known for his sense of humor and his storytelling was legendary.  He had a genuine love for people and touched many lives. Most of all, he was passionate about sharing the love of God.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dixie Marks, and his children: Paula Byrne h. Edward, c. Mason, Miles, Lovettsville, VA, Amy Caton h. Matthew, c. Naomi, Atira, Chippewa Lake, OH, and Sarah Dodson h. Mark, c. Cooper, Lola, Heath, Mint Hill, NC.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Hope Christian Church, Augusta WV with Ministers Robert Hart and John Herbst officiating. Interment will be in Augusta Cemetery, Augusta, WV.  The family will receive friends from noon until time of service.
