Janet Marie Sears, 49, of Falling Waters, WV passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 23, 2025.

Born on January 31, 1976 in Annapolis, MD, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Sears and Shirley Lawson.

Janet was a kindhearted person who was always helping others. She liked to make people laugh and made you feel welcome.  She always had time to lend a listening ear no matter who you were.  She enjoyed crafting in her free time.

She is survived by her soulmate of 27 years, John Hardwick, her mother and stepfather, Shirley and Marvin Lawson of Annapolis, MD, step-mother, Kathleen Sears, her children, Kayci Sears of Augusta, WV, Robert Evans, Jr. of Pennsylvania, John Hardwick, III of Hedgesville, WV, Edna Southard of Maine and Russell Cox of Colorado, her siblings, Tommy Sears, Jennifer Mancuso, Shelby Sears, Michelle Sears and Michael Sears, and grandchildren, Weston Walker, Jacqueline Evans, Attilisa Hardwick and Harley Hardwick.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made to help out with expenses to McKee Funeral Home, PO Box 270, Augusta WV 26704.
