James Calvin Southerland 77, of Baker, WV passed away on November 24, 2024 at the Hampshire Memorial Hospital.

Born on December 16, 1946 in Danville, KY he was the son of the late James I. Southerland and Doris (Burdette).

James was a carpenter, he drove bus for Robar, and loved playing Santa Claus at the Westminister Mall.

Surviving is his wife Shirley Mae (Wenth) Southerland, one daughter Ann Marie Freer, two sons Brian W. Leonard Sr. and John W. Leonard, one sister Norma J. Brashear  and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Friday, November 29, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. with Russell Freer speaking.  The family will receive friends one hour prior.
