James Allen Shell, 66, of Baker, WV passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at his residence.

Born on Sept 5, 1954 in Rockville, MD, he was the son of Ronald Gene Shell of Weyers Cave and the late Frances Oates Shell.

After retiring as an overland truck driver, Jim decided he wanted to do something different with his life. He opened a garage known as the Arkansaw Garage where he could help folks with their automotive needs.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy E. Shell on Feb. 4, 2020 and a son, Justin Shell.

Along with his father, he is survived by a son, Jason Shell (Autumn) of Dayton, VA, two step-daughters Audra Rohrbaugh of Maysville, WV and Mary Rohrbaugh of Baker, WV, a step-mother, Ava Shell of Weyers Cave, VA, a step-brother, Ronnie Shell of Weyers Cave, VA, six grandchildren:  Solomon Rohrbaugh, Jr., Klara M. Lambert, Carson M. Lambert, Jacob W. Rohrbaugh, Dylan Shell and Leah Shell, and a sister, Beverly Frazier of Palmyra, VA.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at McKee Funeral Home, Baker, WV with Pastor Sherwin Tharp officiating.  Interment will be in Zion Cemetery, Baker, WV.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The Arkansaw community took James under their wing after the death of his wife Kathy.  The family is more appreciative than can be expressed and would simply like to say thanks.
