James Franklin Wolford, 92, of Points, WV passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Hampshire Memorial Long Term Care, Romney, WV.

Born on January 8, 1933 in Points, WV, he was the son of the late William L. Wolford and Lillian E. (Fultz) Wolford.

James retired as a lineman from Potomac Edison. He was a hardworking man who loved his family. He was an outdoorsman and loved to coon hunt and work in his garden.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas I. Wolford, 4 sisters, Helen (Wolford) Shanholtz, Beatrice E (Wolford) Crouse, Freda C (Wolford) Hartman, Betty J (Wolford) Lambert, and 4 brothers, Jerry A. Wolford, William D Wolford, Russell E. "Hook" Wolford and Harold D. "Ted" Wolford .

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Georgia I. (Bowen) Wolford whom he married on April 24, 1958, his children, Brenda Sue Creswell of Winchester, VA, Sandra K. Lewis of Augusta, WV and James  D."Danny" Wolford of Romney, WV, 4 grandchildren, Vic Mathias (Paige), Chad Lewis (Donna), Lucas Lewis and Jason Wolford, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and siblings, E Marie (Wolford) Belt of Falls Church, VA, Robert "Bob" K Wolford of Sykesville, MD, and Billy J Wolford of Lady Lake, FL.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Pastor Denzil Davis officiating.  Interment will be in Malick Cemetery, Augusta, WV. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
