Helen Louise Haines, 91, of Winchester, VA, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Willows at Meadow Branch, Winchester, VA.

Born on December 29, 1931 in Ruckman, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Carl Riggleman and Dorothy Hott Riggleman.

Helen was a great cook and known for her pumpkin pies. She enjoyed flower gardening but her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren.  She was a member of Hotts Chapel Methodist Church, Kirby, WV.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Glenwood J. Haines, Jr., 5 brothers, Hartzell, Garland "Chuck", Leldon "Dick", Lawrence, and Eldon "Jesse" Riggleman, and a sister, Alice Pauline Riggleman. She married Glenwood "Bill" Jackson Haines on November 28, 1947 and he preceded her in death on August 13, 2005.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Dorothy Soule (Harold) of Winchester, VA, Brenda Jones (Jonsey) of Stephenson, VA, and Karen Grubbs (Greg) of Berryville, VA, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV with Pastor David Bradfield officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior.  Interment will be in Mt. Dale Cemetery, Shanks, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090.
