Grace Ella
Jackson
Sep 18, 1937 — Oct 25, 2025
Augusta
Grace Ella Farley Jackson, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully among family on October 25, 2025 at the age of 88. Born on September 18, 1937, in Washington, D.C., Grace went on to build a life where her love for her family was always at the core.
Gracie was the cherished daughter of the late Santina "Grandma Tina" Farley and Henry "Happy" Farley, and the devoted wife of Fred Jackson. Grace and Fred shared 60 unfaltering years of marriage, planting seeds of love as the matriarch and patriarch of a large, adoring family.
We affectionately remember Grace not only for her deep love of her family, but also for the thousands of tiny things that built her into the woman we all knew as Mom, Grandma, and Gracie. It was her infectious laugh; singing in the kitchen; her love of the Redskins, the Nationals, Rummy and Solitaire; sleepovers at the request of her grandchildren; the smell of her gravy simmering for an entire day; a "Happy Birthday" solo dedicated to you on your birthday; a long drive on the scenic route; mid-day Soap Operas, and evening time Golden Girls or Matlock. For her wit. Bravery. Determination. Loyalty. Fierce protection of those she held closest.
As a devoted child of God, she is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, her brother Sonny Farley, and her grandson Joe Jackson.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Fred; their children, Rusty, Steve, and Anna; and her grandchildren, Tia, Kayleigh, Taryn, Stevie Jackson, and Tori Cain. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings Delores DeVaughn and Carole Weiland, and by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were blessed to know her.
After years of courageously and boldly battling the hurdles of her health, we feel a sense of relief that she is now at ease with the peace and rest she so deeply deserves. Until we meet her again, we all have a "Grace El-Pat-Far-Jack" stamp on our hearts.
