George Edward "Eddie" Stamp, 77, of Slanesville, WV passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Calvert Health Medical Center, Maryland surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 1, 1947 in Calvert Co., Maryland, he was the son of the late William Stamp and Florence (Ezelle) Stamp.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Eddie was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Jane (Hall) Stamp in 2010.  They were married in District Heights, MD on March 8, 1975.

In his younger years, he enjoyed riding horses and dancing with his wife.  Eddie enjoyed riding his motorcycle, especially with his son and grandson.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and was known to be a jokester.  He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many! His love and dedication for family was immense. He was a person many looked up to. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his children, Stacey Stamp of Winchester, VA, Letetia Beall (Ernest) of Paw Paw, WV, Stormy Stamp (Vonda) of Lusby, MD, Jesse Hall of Slanesville, WV, Alexus Woods of Winchester, VA,  his siblings, Jimmy Stamp and Helen Harrington, both of Calvert Co., MD, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Earl Travis officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4-6pm. Military rites will be accorded by the U.S. Army.
