Gary Wayne Potter, 74, of Romney, WV passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at his residence.

Born on January 17, 1952 in Romney, WV, he was the son of the late Ward Potter and Virginia (Payne) Potter.

Gary was a graduate of Hampshire High School, Romney, WV and had been employed as a truck driver by Dyno Nobel Company. He was a former Little League coach. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Donna (Saville) Potter, his sons, Darin Potter of Winchester, VA and Dustin Potter of Romney, WV, 4 grandchildren and his sisters, MaryAnn Corbin and Kathy Winkles, both of Romney. Gary will be missed and fondly remembered by his family and all who knew him.

Honoring Gary’s wishes, there will be no service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
