Dr. Franklin "Frank" Eugene Myers, Sr., 81, of Delray, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
Born on September 29, 1940, in Baltimore Maryland, Frank was the son of the late Carroll Littleton Myers and Juanita Jean Lahmer Myers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Myers in 2016, sons, Carroll Earnest, George Alen and Franklin Eugene Myers, Jr., sister, Shirley Brice, brother-in-law, Charles Brice, special Aunt LaVern Dize and her husband William Dize.
Surviving are his children, Vinia Williams, (Carroll) and Frank Eric Myers, nephew, Doug Brice and family, grandchildren, Ricky Williams, Cory Williams, Bethany Hoy, Jeremiah Hoy, Deven Myers, Ethan Myers, Victoria Myers, Kelsie Volk, and great grandchildren, Kaidence Williams, Wyatt Hoy, and Adalynn Hoy.
He was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin, minister, friend and jokester to many. Frank served as a Signalman in the United States Navy; years of service with the Friendship Fire Department as an Emergency Medical Technician, Fire Fighter, River Rescue and Chaplain; and over 20 years as the Director of the Locust Grove Rest Home. He retired with over 40 years as a minister, having a Doctorate in Divinity, pastoring many churches and as an Evangelist. He enjoyed feeding the deer, caring for Rocky (the Bearded Dragon), a collector of sorts, hunting and fishing in his younger years.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Kirby Assembly of God Church, Kirby, WV with Pastor Jed Metzler and Pastor Carroll Williams officiating. Interment will be in Hott's Chapel Cemetery, Kirby, WV.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Good Samaritan Orphanage in Malawi, Africa through Maplewood Baptist Church, 1029 Lost Road, Martinsburg WV, 25403.
All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
