Eugene Gordon Bradfield, 84, of Bloomery, WV passed away on Thursday April 16, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family while under the care of Hospice.

Born on August 21, 1935 in Bloomery, WV, he was the son of the late Gordon and Lillie Bradfield.

Eugene was a timberman, an avid hunter and fisherman, He loved to go camping and work at carpentry. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill & Jackie Bradfield, and two sisters, Ruth Hook, Mary Louise Hook.

Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Phyllis Allen Bradfield, whom he married on December 24, 1959. He is also survived by three children, Charles Bradfield, (Carolyn) of Winchester, VA, Mary Ann Utterback (John) of High View, WV, Keith Bradfield of Bloomery, WV, two sisters, Betty Bridges, Lavern Kidwell, both of Paw Paw, WV, two brothers, Louis Bradfield of Paw Paw, WV , Charles Bradfield of Westernport, MD, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Island Hill Cemetery near Paw Paw, WV with Pastor David Bradfield and Pastor David Omps officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help with funeral expenses to McKee Funeral Home, PO Box 270, Augusta, WV 26704.
