Elizabeth Sylvester Mellon, 79, of Romney, WV passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at her residence.

Born on October 14, 1945 in Culpeper, VA, she was the daughter of the late Lucian Daniel Gallihuah and Lizzy Morris.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James V. Mellon in 2018 and her siblings, Ronald L. Gallihugh, Marshall E. Gallihugh and Shirley A. Woodward and 2 children, Brian K. Elswick and Lana F. Elswick.

She is survived by her son, Lloyd Elswick, Jr. (Melissa) of Romney, WV, a granddaughter, Sherri Schaefer of Baltimore, MD, her brother, Daniel Gallihugh, niece, Patsy Dodson along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be private and handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
