Eddie Allen Hott "Uncle Dudley", 78, of Slanesville, WV passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

Born on February 11, 1947 in Augusta, WV, he was the son of the late Lindberg V. Hott and Marian (Loy) Hott of Slanesville, WV.

Eddie was a veteran of the U.S. Army.   He retired from the VA Dept. of Corrections in 2004 after 22 years. He was a member of Salem Church.  He enjoyed life but most of all, he loved living on the farm with his chainsaws, cows and Kubota tractor.

He was preceded in death by his loving father, Lindy Hott, his son, Cameron Hott, nephews, Christopher Hott and Troy Whitacre, and a brother, Steve Hott.

He is survived by his wife, Judy (Hines) Hott, his mother, Marian Hott and his sister, Sharon Hott Garber along with many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he cherished.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta WV with Pastor Robert Jeffreys officiating.  Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Slanesville, WV.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, 6-8pm, at the funeral home.
