Earsel Alton Timbrook, 88, of Augusta, WV passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Romney, WV.

Born on August 17, 1935 in Shanks, WV, he was the son of the late Ferdinand Timbrook and Willie (Haines) Timbrook.

Earsel served in the the U.S. Army in Vietnam and Korea and was a member of the American Legion.  He was a mechanic and operated a local salvage yard.  He loved to coon hunt and was a member of the U.K.C. Coon Club.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Violet S. (Boyer) Timbrook, and his siblings, Bertie Riggleman, Mary Ann Timbrook, Russell Timbrook, Jack Timbrook, Dailey Timbrook and Glenn Timbrook.

He is survived by his daughters, Connie Timbrook of Abilene, Kansas, Virginia Wright of Romney, WV, Kitty Kaylor of Paw Paw, WV, and Mamie Mayhew of Moorefield, WV, a brother, Ronald Timbrook of Romney,  a special grandchild, Justin Timbrook (Adela) of Augusta, WV, grandchildren, Ashley Piper of Olathe Kansas, and Darron Timbrook (Kelee) of Abilene Kansas, Jennifer Davis of Romney, WV, Michael Davis of Augusta, WV and  great grandchildren, Brooklynn and Ethan Timbrook and numerous others.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Pastor Derek Kidwell officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will be in Mt. Dale Cemetery, Shanks, WV.
