Dorothy Ann Sann, 69, of Cumberland, MD, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025 at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital in Cumberland, MD.

Born on February 7, 1956 in Levels, WV, she was the daughter of the late Hetzel and Beatrice (Montgomery) Lewis.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Carolyn Smith and Brenda Giles.

She is survived by her children: John and Amy Pownall of Falling Waters, WV, Christina Goddard and boyfriend Greg Dolly of Cumberland, MD, Eric Pownall of Cumberland, MD; 4 grandchildren: Alexander Pownall, Nicholas Pownall, Keleigh Pownall , Zoe Goddard and one great-grandson, John Aaron Pownall.  She is also survived by her siblings, Robert and Joyce Lewis of Burlington, WV, Ronnie and Lynette Lewis of Romney, WV, Randy Lewis of Romney, WV, Cheryl Goetz of Shanks, WV, and Cathy and Dick Riggleman of Springfield, WV.

She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that she loved. During her illness she was thankful for the care family friend, Sam Shook, provided.

During her life, she enjoyed collecting horses and vinyl records. She loved listening to music by George Jones. She loved her family and those who knew her will fondly remember her "tell it like it is" personality. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV. The family will receive friends one hour prior.  Interment will be in Three Churches Baptist Cemetery, Three Churches, WV.
