Dorothy Carol Prato, 80, of Paw Paw, WV, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026 at Hampshire Center, Romney, WV.

Born on January 13, 1946 in Mt. Savage, MD, she was the daughter of the late Ray Burton Shaffer and Dorothy (Snyder) Shaffer.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel Joseph Prato, Jr., step-sons, Robert Prato of Glen Burnie, MD and Samuel J. Prato, III of Stephens City, VA.
