Donald "Donnie" William Michael, 75, of Augusta, WV passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at his residence.

Born on July 12, 1948 in Pleasant Dale, WV, he was the son of the late Eugene Michael and Aretta (Combs) Michael of Augusta, WV.

Donnie served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Hampshire Gas. Donnie was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church and was well known for his ministry of making and sharing his horseshoe crosses.  He loved people and never missed an opportunity to share his faith.  He loved riding his trike and was a member of the Harley Owners Group.  His greatest joy in life was his family and he was so proud of his children and grandchildren.

Donnie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley (Poling) Michael in 2008. Along with his father, he was also preceded by a brother, Richard Michael and a sister, Peggy Shifflet.

Along with his mother, he is survived by his children, Donald Allen Michael (Theresa Szabo,Dawson) of Keyser, WV and Angela Renee Corbin (David) of Augusta, WV, his siblings, Judy Poling of Fort Ashby, WV, Sandy Saville of Augusta, WV, Patty Haines of Augusta, WV, and Bob Michael of Fort Ashby, WV, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:00pm at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Pastor Kris A. Lengel officiating.  Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Slanesville, WV.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
