Donald "Donnie" Lee Sager, 75, of Lost River, WV passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 at his residence under the care of Grant Memorial Hospice.

Born on March 16, 1947 in Lost River, WV, he was the son of the late Joseph Sager and Bonnie Shoemaker Sager.

Donnie loved being outdoors whether it was cutting timber, hunting, fishing or just enjoying God's creation.  He was a sawmill man most of his life.  After retiring from the timber business, he worked for the Dept of Highways for 20 years.  He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and helping those in need of mechanical repairs.  He and his wife attended and were members of Ivanhoe Presbyterian Church.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dwayne Lee Sager, a brother, Joe Sager, Jr. and a sister, Joan Strosnider.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen A. (Miller) Sager, children, Angie Miller (David) of Lost River, WV, Tina Sager (Brandi) of Morgantown, WV, Heather Sager (Patrick) of Lost River, WV, and Penny Herald of Edinburg, VA,  5 grandchildren: Hunter Miller, Brooke Miller, Emmerie Hines, Brittney Irvin and Jesse Herald; 2 brothers, James "Jimmy" Sager of Lost River, WV, William "Billy" Sager of Mathias, WV, and one sister, Shirley Barb of Mathias, WV.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home, Baker, WV with Pastor Joel Thornton and Pastor Roger Sager officiating.  Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Lost City, WV.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 6-8 pm, at the funeral home.
