Donald McVene Combs, 89, of Martinsburg, WV passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at his residence.

Born on November 29, 1936 in Lost River, WV, he was the son of the late Stanley Combs and Ruth (Moore) Combs.

He was a graduate of Potomac State College and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the N.R.A. and the American Legion, Post 42, of Hagerstown, MD.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Ryan Combs and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his son, Randall Combs (Paula) of Moorefield, WV, step-son, Jeff Anderson of Hagerstown, MD, grandchildren, Shannon, George and Matthew Combs, step-grandchildren, Jennifer and Lauren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Baker, WV with Pastor Rick Bergdoll officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm until time of service. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M.
