Dennis Ray Shoemaker, 74, of Augusta, WV passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

Born on October 6, 1951 in Springs, PA, he was the son of the late Markle and Mayo A. (Maust) Shoemaker.

Dennis was a beloved art teacher in the Hampshire county schools for over 40 years.  He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him as a talented artist, kind and patient teacher and for his sense of humor.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Susan Shoemaker in 2014 and his daughter-in-law, Brandie Louise Shoemaker.

He is survived by his second wife, Laura Jean Shoemaker, his children, Jennifer Tolliver (Marshall) of Romney, WV, Phillip M. Shoemaker of Romney, granddaughter, Abigail Rose Tomana and step-granddaughter, Jennifer Williams of North Myrtle, SC.  His family was his pride and joy.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. at Springs Mennonite Cemetery, Springs, PA.
