David Michael Stonebraker, 59, of Augusta, WV passed away on May 25, 2026 at  Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

Born on January 18, 1967 in Romney, WV he was the son of the late Jack L. Stonebraker and Mabel M. (Kerns) Stonebraker.

David was a carpenter, enjoyed kayaking and fishing. He attended the Winchester Church of God.

Along  with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Wayne Stonebraker.

Surviving are his son, Donald Athey, 7 sisters: Elaine Morningstar of Hedgesville, WV, Karen George of Romney, WV, Kathy Stonebraker of Springfield, WV, Cheryl Straight of Slanesville, WV, Billie Jo Gerver of Stephen City, VA, Brenda Ebeling of Stephens City, VA, Loretta Alkire of Slanesville, WV, and a brother Daniel Stonebraker of Capon Bridge, WV, and three grandchildren: Brayden, Hudson, Champ and Wyatt.

Funeral services will be on Saturday May 30, 2026 at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor James McDaniel officiating. Interment will be at the Woodrow Cemetery in Paw Paw, WV. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
