Charles D. Jewell, Sr., 84, of Augusta, WV passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Hampshire Memorial Long Term Care, Romney, WV.

Born on January 26, 1936 in Romney, WV, he was the son of the late Phillip and Virginia "Mae" Racey Jewell.

Charlie was a painter and wall paper hanger for many years. He served in the U S Marines.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Roger, Phillip, Norman, John, James Jewell and two grandchildren.

Surviving are five children, Carla Shaffer of Romney, Connie Herron of Edinburg, VA, Cathy Jewell of Wardensville, WV, Charles "Dale" Jewell of Romney and Cameron Jewell of PA, thirteen grandchildren, three sisters, Ruby Hott of Capon Bridge, WV, Anna Jewell of Romney, WV and Brenda Johnson of Ellisville, Ill.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 12, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. in the McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Pastor Wendell Everett officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV.

The family will receive friends on Thursday 1 hour prior to service.
