Carolyn Gail Shaffer Chandler, 86, of Romney, WV passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Hampshire Memorial Long Term Care, Romney, WV.

Born on November 28, 1936 in Sissonville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Gradin Wilkinson and Leeola King Wilkinson.Carolyn had worked as an accountant for 33 years for the Kanawha County School system. She was a long time past member of the VFW Post 3066 Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby J. Shaffer in October, 1993 and by her second husband, Charles Lewis chandler in March, 2020.

She is survived by her son, Ira Joseph Shaffer, of Romney, WV and a granddaughter, Mackenzie Shaffer.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Floral Hills Garden of Memory, Sissonville, WV. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
