Betty Dale (Combs) Ludwig, 81, of Rio, WV passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at E.A. Hawse Nursing & Rehab Center, Baker, WV.

Born on September 23, 1940 in Hampshire Co., WV, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Combs and Pearl (Hott) Combs.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Karl C. Ludwig in 2015, a brother, Stanley Combs and a sister, Francis Kesner.

She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Weatherholt (Andrew) of Rio, WV, two sons, Theodore (Teddy) Ludwig of Rio, WV, David C. Ludwig, Sr. (Carol) of Maysville, WV, grandson, David C. Ludwig, Jr., step-grandson, Jeremiah Weatherholt, two step great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Ruth Abe and Donna Pyles, both of Fort Ashby, WV.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Sperry's Run United Methodist Church, Rio, WV with Pastor Aaron Himes officiating.  Interment will be in Sperry's Run Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until time of service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sperry's Run United Methodist Church.
