Betty Jo Gordon 90, of Romney, WV went to be with her lord and savior on Sunday April 26, 2026 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Pandhandle.

Betty was born September 21, 1935 in Romney, WV to the late James and Grace (Loy) Hines.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Volta "Bud" Kimble, her second husband, William "Bill" Gordon, six brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are her 4 children, Carol (Kimble) Kitts of Bunker Hill, WV, Robert "Bobby" Kimble of Augusta,WV, Melissa (Gordon) Blaylock (Carl) of Springfield, WV, Teressa (Gordon) Sorrell (Samuel) of Romney, 2 brothers, Donald "Don" Hines of Chula Vista, CA, William "Bill" Hines of Warrenton, VA, a sister, Gracie (Hines) Kesner of Romney, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Betty worked for a time at Ewer's Orchard, Miller's Orchard and the Hampshire Review. The majority of her life was spent as a homemaker and caregiver to her parents and siblings.

She was a long- time member of Romney Assembly of God Church. She loved the Lord, her church and church family.  Her passions included flowers, westerns, cooking, hosting family and holiday dinners and serving the Lord.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the Romney Assembly of God Church at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor James Mou officiating.  Interment will follow at the Ebenezer Cemetery Romney, WV.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. at the McKee Funeral Home 115 E. Birch Lane Romney and on Thursday from 12 to 1:00 at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to HCCOA Nutrition Program, Hospice of the Panhandle or Romney Assembly of God.

All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home of Romney.
