Betty Lorraine Cooper, 90, of Romney, WV passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Hampshire Memorial Long Term Care, Romney, WV.

Born on February 17, 1935 in Romney, WV, she was the daughter of the late Vern Corbin and Alma (Kessel) Corbin.

Betty had worked as a bank teller at First National Bank of Romney for many years.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Cooper, Jr. in 2023 and her brother, Howard Corbin.

She is survived by her brother, Allen Corbin (Jean), sister-in-law, Betty Corbin, brother and sister-in-laws, Willard and Wilda Clem, brother and sister-in-laws, Berlin and Ginny Cooper, nieces and nephews: Mike and Debbie Miller, Doug and Debbie Clem, Doris Clem, Kevin and Tamara Corbin, Teresa Messina, Stephen Cooper, John Cooper, Gary and Amy Meadows, Bo and Patty Shanholtz, Sue Meadows, and many great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. at  Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney WV with Pastor Denzil Davis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Warm the Children thru the Bank of Romney or First National Bank  or by check mailed to  PO Box 496, Romney WV 26757.
