Arley (Whitey) Kenneth Davis, 85, of Concord, NC (previously Romney, WV) went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, October 15, 2024. He was born April 6, 1939 in Augusta, West Virginia. He is the son of the late Arnold Adolph and Fannie Virginia Davis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou (Haines) Davis, sisters; Sarah Davis Cheshire and Beryl Davis Gray, brothers; Franklin Arnold Davis, Edgar Vernon Davis and Herbert Ronald Davis.

A proud veteran, Arley served twenty years in the United States Navy as a Deep Sea Diver from 1955 to 1975. Arley served his country honorably and did his duty to help defend the freedom of citizens across this country. He was a member of the Moose Lodge & VFW in Romney for years.

He leaves a lasting legacy to be cherished by his survivors, sisters; Pearl Davis Nealis of Tawanda, NJ, Irene Davis Keiter of Romney, WV, and Aretta Elizabeth Davis of Augusta, WV, his three children; Barbara Lewis and husband Terry of Concord, NC, Anthony Davis and wife Ruth of Virginia Beach, VA, John Davis and wife Rebecca of Ocoee, FL., his two stepchildren; Renee Cox and husband David of Romney, WV and Troy Corbin and wife Tina of Newnan, GA, Eleven grandchildren; Stephanie Hamilton, Megan Davis, Jacob Davis, Jeffery Mathias II, Nichole Byrne, Brittney Davis, Brooke Davis, Ryan Corbin, Alex Cox, Garrett Corbin and Erin Corbin; ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the VA and Atrium nurses, physicians and staff for their unwavering compassionate and supportive care that was provided. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

A visitation will be held on November 8th, 2024, from 6 pm – 8 pm at McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV. On November 9th, 2024, visitation will be from 11 am – 1 pm with the service following at McKee Funeral Home. After the service there will be a Celebration of Life at the Moose Lodge in Romney.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association, American Heart Association, and or your local dog shelter.

All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
